In the Land of GM.
-Here is my much needed update. I spent the past week trying to get myself back into the groove of things, which hasn't been too bad.
-Overall, the trip went well. I don't really think I prepared myself enough to be around people I didn't really know. and we kind of rushed around, which was a bit of a bummer. but everything worked out, the car didn't break down or anything. After I got back, I felt better about the trip. I hadn't been away from the computer/internet for that kind of period of time, in a loooooong time. It was nice to be away from the usual routine. Somehow feel the break wasn't long enough, but that's any vacation for that matter. A few highlights include: listening to Sufjan (Illionoise) in the respective areas, meeting Lindsay's family, giant salad bowl, Jet's pizza, Cidar Mill (w/awesome donuts), seeing trees that actually change color, H&M, conversations in the car-including us talking about the 92 dream team for about half an hour (I think we named everyone too.), Ferndale, receiving an abnormally shaped chicken fry from the BK, and I'm sure there's more things that slipped my mind.
-I feel like I had a lot more to write a couple days ago and somehow I lost it. Anyways, here's some links to tie you over the weekend:
-Leopard is out today. I kind of want to get my hands on it. I'm quite excited about having photobooth features in iChat. Even though my router never lets me use video. I like how they're trying to unclutter the desktop as well, I think that's something everyone could use. Nothing too groundbreaking for OSX, but I think a few of the new features will deem quite usefl. Check the demo here.
-My new favorite sport.
-Movie trailer for the day: Sasquatch Gang. It actually looks somewhat funny. Justin Long with a mullet and some guy talking like Kip. Seems promising.
-Bear, Lindsay and I had like an hour long conversation in the car about sports logos and such, the good and the bad, etc...and then like wednesay I came up this:
The Biscuits. How's that for a sports team/logo. I think someone should hire me to do a logo. That would be fun.
-I don't know how I missed these. The other Trigon/Blue Cross commercials. These are great: Karate, Snotty Doctors and Spanish.
-October's movie night was kind of lame, consisting of me, mike and some awesome chili. Your loss, not mine. Anyways, Mike and I were on discussion for next month, still tentative, pending on receiving them in the mail: Helvetica (16th?) and/or the new Sigur Ros DVD (the 30th). The new Sigur Ros DVD is definately going to be a night, just not sure if anyone will be interested. I'll keep you posted.
