Glass and a Half Full

-My dad might enjoy this: Glass and a Half Full-commercial from Cadbury. Clever, and involving a Phil Collins song.

Flying Cup Club

-Today is going quite slow, as to be expected since it's friday. Here's a few links:
-iCar Rumors. VW+Apple=awesome.
-So what does a bull do in a china shop?
-whoiswrong.com. A new way to decide that age old questions.
-1979 Living Room. I guess we're still working on the domestic beverage robot.
-Kompoz. Collaborate musically with people online. kind of a neat idea, i bet it produces a lot of crap though.
-Helvetica is playing at the OKCMOA Sept 28-29. Adding that to the agenda. I still need to preorder it.

Copy Goes Here

-Crocs + Uggs = worst shoes ever.
-Interesting article on why you should like the London 2012 logo. Although I agree with some of their points (function in b&w, etc), I still think the designers could have done a better job and still created a 'different, flexible, simple' logo. seriously.
-17 Year old girl making the moneys doing myspace layouts. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating this is. Myspace, oh myspace, I wish that site would die already.
-I'm really digging these field notes, notebooks.

Amiina

-Just ran into this video of Amiina playing a set on some icelandic show. Jenn is prob. the only one that will enjoy it. maybe not. but its kind of neat to see their range of instruments. On the sidenote, their new album, Kurr, is great and I recommend you give it a listen.

The End of Busy Week

-Friday is here, trying to finish up a few things at work before I have to pick my dad up from the airport. We just received some of the Sept/Oct OK Today issues, so be looking for that in stores pretty soon (complete with my photo on pg 6). Heres a few links:
-Photoshop Hero.
-Finnish YMCA Cover. Gosh, thats awful, but I think I need that outfit.
-It's always kind of depressing to find someone with the same name that has better work than you....
-Heima Film. Sigur Ros. Looks awesome.
-So far, the wii has been treating me well. I recommend everyone go play one. play some Rayman. nothing like shooting rabbits with plungers.

Another Day

-This week has oh, so busy. With my phone and the dryer going out, Mike and I had to try to get those things situated. After a long 4 or so years, I finally have a new phone. So if you could, email me or something, and I will get you my new number. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get everyone's number. My old phone has just been freezing up and not letting me do much of anything. So, if you could email me your number or something, that would be greatly appreciated.
-I've been holding back for a few days, mostly due to the madness at home, but just being sneaky. But I got this in the mail the other day:
Wii Wii
There was quite some confusion with the purchase through eBay, and I was kind of nervous about the whole ordeal. but its here and in full effect. so come by, play some Wii. I have 3 wiimotes, playing on getting a 4th, once my funds have replenished.

Dryer

-Amoung other things to bring this week, our dryer blew out yesterday. Mike said it was all smoking and not drying the clothes. so we're on the search for a cheap dryer, if anyone happens to have an extra laying around. Just not having much luck this week so far.

Phone

-Well, I think my phone is officially dead. and its really frustrating. It turns on, and if I try to make a phone call, it just freezes.....so yeah, I won't have a phone for a few days or so. If you need me, call mike or get online or something.

Down the Line.

-I'm feeling the new song/video from our main man, Jose Gonzalez. It's off of his new album, which I have no idea when it is released, I'm betting top 10 this year. Surprising to see it off a blog run by MTV. hhmm...

Like a Giant Slap in the Face.

-Today spiraled down in emotional well being. I was in the process of trying to come with a constructive analysis of where I am emotionally as well as environmental, but that was all lost today with some news. I was informed this afternoon that Bear's mom had passed away this weekend. Please send thoughts and prayers their way. They will be having a service in Stinnett, Friday at 11. I'm going to try to make that way, work pending.

Shoegaze

-It's another slow day at work. Listening to some Port-Royal. quite nice. I'm already done browsing my daily links, and was quite unfulfilling. It's like I haven't been able to get my internet buzz lately. how sad is that. So the weekend is almost amoung us. Mike has work all weekend, so I'll be doing a lot of sitting around and such. Have any movie recommendations? I could use a good watch. and/or tv show

-Crazy Cat Lady.
-The crazy kid Manchester United signed or offered to their academy. whatever, the kid is crazy good for a 9 year old.
-8 Ways to Drive a Graphic Designer Mad. The funniest part of this article is that clients really do these things without the intent of making us upset.
-and apparently, a Voltron movie is in the works...

in sprintz.

-Original Design Gangsta. Horrible song, but the lyrics are funny.
-Thrice has a new video sampling their new album. I guess its 1 in a series of 10. The video got me pretty psyched for the album. Supposively, its based on the 4 elements (fire, water, air and something else). I think it will be quite solid.
-I have to get back to work. On the sidenote, I get a blurb in Sept/Oct issues of OK Today. thats pretty exciting.
-Be Kind Rewind. New Michel Gondry film involving Mos Def and Jack Black. Doubtfully Gondry's best work, but I'd give it a watch.

Two for Twosday.

-The new iMacs were announced this morning. Yes, please.
*Update: between the time I started this blog and posted it, Apple decided to put it up the website. Kind of funny to be slightly ahead of the curve.
-TLC's Life Lessons. I'm sure I've posted these, but they don't seem to get old. "where'd you park your delorean?"

A Few Quick Ones.

-This weekend is over with. Mike and I took a short trip to Altus, so my dad could show him how to replace the brake pads. While I exchanged my technological knowledge for a haircut. and Today was just filled with boredom and disappointing movies.
-I caught this story on the local news, and I surprised it made the top ten on digg. seriously, who shoots a snake. That's oklahoma for you.
-I saw this on Crystal's bulletin the other day and failed to post it. Dragonforce on Guitar Hero 3. I was trying to envision trying to play this on the videogame, then I was thinking how the heck you would play that on a real guitar. both of which are too insane for me to handle.
-I already have that feeling of a boring and uneventful week. fun. Someone come hang out or something.

Friday Morning Post.

-So the summer is coming to a close very shortly. has kind of put me in a grumpy mood because I haven't done jack this summer. It seems like everyone took trips/vacations to somewhere, and I didn't. Then I was thinking about it, and that's every summer, so ah well.
-In discussion: Mike and I were discussing why actors have somehow regressed their acting careers to family movies. We're guessing it has to do with their own families, but still lame. What brought this up? Underdog and Jason Lee. I used to love Jason Lee movies, but now.....ah man, horrible movies (look for a crappy Alvin and Chipmunks movie coming out with him as well) Sell Out. Other examples include Eddie Murphy, Cuba Gooding Jr, Ice Cube....Ice Cube, I'm still trying to comprehend the NWA to Are We Done Yet? transition. Any thoughts?
-Friday means links.
-I believe these are the bikes Lindsay was referring to the other day, which she loves.
-Wonder Years: Where are they now. I was a bit disappointed that Kevin's nerdy friend Wasn't Marilyn Manson.
-This was released a few weeks ago and only pertains to a few of us, but Apple released a smaller charger. Bit pricy for a charger, seriously, but it would nice to have something smaller for the macbook pro.
-I need some of these.
-This is for Shannon, because I mentioned it yesterday. Iron Man clip from Comic Con.
-I believe in Advertising has the newest Axe ads, kind of hit closer to home than I would have liked, considering the last few nights I have been trying to beat my tetris scores, I used to be in boy scouts, and I like legos. Never did frog jumping though.
-I want to get my hands on some of these Helvetica Posters.
-Have a good friday. I'm hoping won't be as slow as yesterday.

Stateless.

-It's a slow moving thursday. One of those "I wish it was Friday" days.
-Two more things to add to the wishlist: ampersand T. and another Vespa.
-Digging these. and speaking of Digg. I've been digging their interactive Labs, the Arc especially.
