Christmas Break Day 10

-Monday Link Mania! or something. Hope everyone's weekend was good. Here's a few links for you guys to start the week out. Also, I believe we are having movie night next friday. and uh, that's it for now.
-Cute Panda Link for Lindsay/Jenn/Emily or any other person that's into that cute animal business.
-Crazy bird that mimics sounds: Lyrebird.

-World's Thinnest Tv Unveiled. Via Mike
-I hate MSN Messenger.
-Guess this is the hotlink of the day. Evolution of Mario.

-Awesome X-Men Poster. Done by Eric Tan, who is apparently responsible for all the great artwork on Incredibles, Ratouille, Wall-E, etc.
-How not to start an interview with John Cusack. Idiot girl.
-Ugly Chickens Deserve to die. Just a funny clip, from Kid Nation, which for some reason, Mike and I got sucked into....and also funny, that Taylor made Best Week Ever's Top 8 Villians. I'd hate to see that girl's parents, or her in ten years.
-I almost feel like this site should be in my regular bookmarks. Weird Asian News.
-Mike and I had spam sandwiches for lunch, which is...uh, a rarity of sorts. but anyways, Spam has some nice Toastvertising.
-Pantone Pen Prints. I really enjoy the idea as well as the overall outcome of this.

Christmas Break Day 7

-Today was very uneventful. That's all I can say about that one. What's everyone else up to the next few days? anyone, anything? I'm getting bored. Although Super Mario Galaxy is keeping me company. Funner than expected. Someone hit me up.

-Top Entertaining/interesting photos of the year.
-Four hand guitar. Gay song...I guess this one is more popular.
-First look at Street Fighter 4. I couldn't watch the whole thing. Those guys are too nerdy for me.

-Christmas was good. It was good spending time with the family, and spent enough time there not to be sick of anyone. I will have pictorial updates up probably late this week or early next week. I also have no plans for new year's/new year's eve. If anyone would like to do something. or invite me to something. Let me know. I really don't want to just be sittin around.

-Shannon Link: Red Ball vs. Kid
-"what song is this?". I think the guy kind of spent more time with the props...
-True Sportsmanship.

Christmas Break Day 2.

-So far, so good. I was allowed to leave work early on Friday, which gave quite a boost for enjoying the break. Did some shopping with the family on Friday. Hung out with Shannon/Emily for a bit. We had a small gift exchange, in which I received a giant candy jar. If you ever visit the house, you know I always have a candy stash, so it's only suitable that I own a giant candy jar. Oh, on the sidenote, Lindsay and Bear got me some sweet coasters. I'm not trying to bring with the "LOOOK at what I got, you didn't" but I think they're note worthy. I will be taking pictures of certain items, post christmas. and I will try to upload some photos from the break as well.
-And also Mike and I had an exciting Saturday evening, watching some Neverending Story. That's one goofy movie.
-Today, we had a small band practice, then Mike and I headed home. So I'm in Altus for the next two days, then back to the city. I will be off the whole week, til after new year's, so if you're not doing anything, holla at yo boi.
-A couple links to start the holidays.

-Handbell Hero.
-Vader with Heidi Klum. some old target commercial...its ok.
-Men who look like old lesbians. The name says it all.
-and the grand finale: Evil Eye. If that didn't make you smile, you have no soul.

-I'll have my top albums of the year up, probably in the next few days, I started tonight, but didn't finish.

Getting Ready for Friday

-This has been a long week for some reason. Been trying to stay busy, especially with the internets being gone. but Friday is here. An update on the internet situation, we got the internet back at the house, Cox came over and fixed it up this morning about 1030, so we should be set for quite some time. unless another ice storm hits. It's been a slow internet week as well, and for some reason, I dont have any links for you guys. Maybe Friv Friday will supply us with some relief.
-Ran across this article on MSN yesterday. Dating Advice for Shy Guys. It brings up some good points and some ideas. I can't remember the last time I saw a cute girl at a museum though, that wasn't with someone...and sorry mike, it looks I need a new wingman-I have to hang out with my married friends. On the sidenote, I don't think that honesty works for most women. "Hi, my name is chris, I sit in front of the computer 12 hours a day."
-A while back, I read about Radiohead remixes involving replaying songs from Kid A with a 17 second delay. I tried it out and worked rather well. After In Rainbows came out, I thought I would attempt my own Radiohead Remixes. So here it is. I've remixed the whole album with 17 second delay (give or take a few milliseconds). Download here. I almost feel like this could something that could spread like fire, which I'm not sure my bandwidth can handle. But be sure to pass it along to friends. It's quite interesting to listen to. Can't really describe it, just adds to the songs. and sorry for the low quality. I guess I kind of overlooked that. plus Radiohead didn't release high quality versions of the songs to begin with.
-I'm out. Everyone have a good friday.

Leather Wings

-Internet is out at the house still. so I'm making a quick entry before I go home. Supposively going to come fix the wire on Thursday. Fingers crossed. then we will be back in business. I'm going to try to have my top albums of the year within the next week or so, so everyone get their list ready...

-Top Rock Posters. Not sure I really agree with them...
-Awesome Skate Vid Intro. Oh, how I miss skating. the video seems promising. m83 on the soundtrack is definately a plus as well.

leit motiv

-With all the excitement of having power, I had overlooked a drooping wire to our house. Mike noticed it Friday, and contacted COX about it (we figured out it was our internet). Of course, no one came to fix it up, so last night a truck came rushing through the street and ripped the cord. So we have no internet at the house, until they come hook a new wire up. Which I somehow don't see happening for a while, since there are some people still without power. Just all a bit frustrating. I prob. won't have internet at the house for some time...

-Autonomous Foosball table. Guess I need one of these when Mike isn't around.
-New Batman Trailer. Oh, I'm quite excited about this release. There is also a ghetto 6 min trailer on youtube. I guess Warner got to that one quick (not before me), but I found it on Gizmodo.
-Star Wars Cards.
-Mac/PC Christmas Commercial.

-and everyone, be sure to welcome back Jacob to the blogging community.

Get Up, Get Up, Get Up

-I've been trying to get this mix going, but I can't seem to smooth it out. Been bothering me. I have certain songs I want in there, but there's a few in the middle that don't seem to transition as well as I want.
-We're awaiting the second wave of the storm to come through. and hopefully it doesn't knock any of our power out this time. It doesn't seem like it's going to be as bad, but that's not saying much.
-In the meantime. enjoy some friday links.

-Time's Top Lists of the Year.
-This is how I'm going to propose to my future wife.
-Ten Min Sneak Peak of the Extras Christmas special.
-Unusual Parking.
-Human Calendar
-Spiderman and Batman in a street fight. The police is on there way Batman! hahah.
-Reuter's Top photos of the year.
-Trajan is the new comic sans.
-Might have to get one of these spy lens. Then I could have snuck a picure of the horribly dressed middle aged women at Target. complete with pink sweatpants that said Pink on the butt, awful snow boots and a whole entourage that screamed 12 year old girl even though I'm 40.
-New Horton Hears a Who trailer.
-Young@Heart. Old people covering rock music. Sounds entertaining.

edit:
-You can now sign in with your livejournal and/or aim name, if you want to leave a comment. also ran across this on youtube, with ice falling from a tower in OKC.

Thank you OG&E and surrounding areas

-WE HAVE POWER!
-It's been a long two and a half days without power/electricity. Just would like to thanks any and all friends that helped Mike and I the last couple days: Shannon & Emily for feeding us, and letting us stay in the warm apt, Jeremy for letting us sleep in a warm place, and Kelly who would have let us stay. We really appreciate the help. I just hope the storm this weekend isn't so bad. I would also like to thank all the people that helped get the power up and running. I know there was some help from surrounding states, that drove in and helped. We actually drove by one of the parking lots with the crane trucks. and there was tons of them. I think everyone around here did a good job getting things back, and up and running. I know there's still some people that don't have power. so if you know of anyone, help them out, or tell them to hit me up and they can sleep on our semi warm floor. It's much better than the freezing house....Trust me on that one.

-I started this list last week, but never got around to complete it. but since its Christmas season, I've compiled a list of Top Ten Christmas Movies (in no particular order):

1. Muppet Christmas Carol-for some reason, this seems to be the only version of the Christmas Carol I can watch and not be annoyed. It's funny, stays along the storyline and has Michael Caine in it. Muppet Classic.
2. Home Alone 1 & 2-We watched these Monday night, and I had forgotten how entertaining this movies are. Great. and funny how Calvin went from age 8 to 10 in a year.
3. A Christmas Story-This is one of those Love/Hate movies, for the most part. I'm indifferent about it, but it seems to be a Christmas classic. Something about that kid getting his tongue stuck on the pole and the giant pink rabbit costume...
4. Joyeux Noel-If you haven't seen this film yet, watch it. It's a good movie, and based on a true story.
5. Bad Santa-This movie is pretty vulgar, but funny. That fat kid cracks me up.
6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas-Ultimate Classic. The cartoon version, not the one with Jim Carrey.
7. The Family Man-doesn't this count as Christmas movie?
8. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. enough said.
9. Elf-have to love Will Ferrell in a ridiculous role.
10. Jingle All the Way. Terminator meets Stars Wars episode 1 meets house guest? Put that cookie down!

-and for other links:

-Don't mess with Dominik Hasek.

-Kitty Wigs. I can somehow see Emily getting one of these for the cats.

-Puma Holiday Bikes. w/ shoes and bags and such...neato.

- Neat Hookbox. On sale.

-Awesomely bad ad found on myspace.

-Neat Teacups.

-Whopperfreakout. I always enjoy BK's ads/campaign stuff more than other competitors. Although I'd be pissed if they tried to screw with me.

-The Indie Clause. Kind of a funny idea, but all they did was take scenes from Garden State, and put Santa Clause in it. Because when I think indie film, I think Garden State.....Not.

-apparently some nerds digitally enhanced the last scene in Lost in Translation to figure out what he says. Don't watch if you don't want to know...

-Finally. A new image has emerged from the new Where the Wild Things Are movie.

Winter Blast 2007

-I'm at work because the power has been out at our place since sunday, 2 am.
-I'll have an appropriate blog entry tomorrow, and I'll prob. upload a couple photos later of some of the damage we saw.

Crawlspace

-The has been dragging on a bit. I have a couple jobs here, but for the most part, just an overall slow day. The weather outside screams "stay at home, watch some movies and drink some hot chocolate!" but I'm at work. Heima tomorrow.

Two More Days...

-This week is going ever so slowly. Tuesday, I thought it was Thursday for some reason, which doesn't help, when you realize you have 3 more days instead of 1. bummer. I've been a bit off, with my work lately, both at work and at home. Started playing some music, with this guy. It's going ok. Not sure how it's going to work out, but we'll see. Mike received his Heima yesterday, and we have been anxiously waiting to watch it. In doing so, I believe we're going to watch it this weekend, with or without you. I'm thinking Saturday, but that's not 100% positive. Mike is working on a flier tomorrow, and we will let you guys know. If you want to come watch it sometime Saturday (or Friday), let me know if and what time you are available. If not, then we'll just watch it whenever. Emily and I kind of tossed around a Home Alone night, but not sure if and when that's happening either. Maybe we'll bust out the national lampoon christmas and call it a christmas movie fest. doubtful, but sounds like fun....and cook some christmas cookies. dang, thats a good idea....

-Prince Caspian Trailer. Youtube version or Medium HD. your choice. Looks more intense than the last one.

-when templates go bad....

-Kid getting a bit excited about winning mousetrap.

-Obey Fixed Gear.
